About me
Charmaine Shaharin is a Newcastle-Upon-Tyne based Fashion Journalist, Stylist and Creative Director with five years of experience working in the fashion industry; working for publications like Mulazine and Juice Online, along with brands such as Urban Outfitters, Barbour, Comhla, Shop Hanya and Root Remedies.
After studying Fashion Journalism at The University of Sunderland, Charmaine has become intrigued with the idea of being a multidisciplinary storyteller of fashion, beauty and everyday life; whether through writing a thought-provoking article or envisioning a specific theme through the power of clothes.
Charmaine can be described as an optimistic, enthusiastic and problem-solving individual with an unquenching thirst for venturing into different creative skills. She is a daydreamer who believes that fashion is one of the purest forms of self-expression.
Today, Charmaine is a freelance stylist and studio assistant for the classic British brand, Barbour and is dabbling into different skills such as videography and graphic designing. She only hopes to have a place in the creative industry to showcase her talents and work with other exciting and unconventional creative people in the future.
